With all the flooding challenges that Bound Brook recently
has endured, something good is coming June 23 to Bound Brook
High School.
A benefit concert given by Jazz for Peace (https://jazzforpeace.org/), featuring
Rick DellaRatta will take place to raise funds for the Brook
Arts Center and the Bound Brook Chamber of Commerce.
Jazz for Peace was founded by DellaRatta to help
advance people to their highest potential through the
understanding of jazz. He brings together multi-cultural
musicians to spread peace and to perform educational programs
that bring music, jazz and donated musical instruments to
underprivileged children in at-risk schools.
“Our goal
is to provide an opportunity for the community to experience
world-class music, while raising much needed funds to help the
Brook Arts Center and the Chamber members whose businesses
were impacted by the flood,” said Dr. Perry Wolk-Weiss, a
chiropractor who is past president of the chamber.
The
concert begins at 7:30 p.m. The high school is 50 W. Union
Ave.
Tickets are $35 each. Call the Brook Arts Center
at (732) 469-7700 for tickets and/or information.
