Peace Through Transformation
The transformation of all the people on Earth
requires each of us to participate in Peace
Peace is contagious Ð it spreads in our conversations
We need only to choose it, discuss it, believe it possible
be unreasonable for it at every turning point.
And let the practice of anger and frustration
fall to the ground to reveal the true sadness it hides.
We will not stop war when we stop those who wage it
We will stop war when we stop creating those who wage it.
The Madrid Music Festivals, the Madrid Volunteer Fire Department Association, the Madrid Cultural Projects, Inc. and the volunteers of the Township of Madrid wish to thank the following organizations for their participation and assistance in the Jazz for Peace Concert:
Dragonfly Sanctuary, Jazz for Peace, Southwest Jazz Orchestra, Santa Fe Great Big Jazz Band, Veterans for Peace - Santa Fe Chapter, Local Energy, Department of Peace Initiative, PartySmart (Northern MN DanceSafe), Los Alamos Study Group, Los Alamos Peace Project, Peace Action New Mexico, Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice, Alternatives to Violence of Northern New Mexico, Open Arts Foundation - Santa Fe Jazz and International Music Festival, Community Bank of Santa Fe, KSFR Radio
Please join the conversation of Peace
