Heidi Russell

Biography

Russell is a self-taught fine art photographer who specializes in capturing the intersection of languages and dimensions through full-frame, non-manipulated imagery.  In 2004, Russell left her career in fundraising to follow her passions in photography and international cultural exchange, studying in Europe and then moving to NYC in 2005.

In 2006, Russell was chosen to participate in the Hungarian Multicultural Center’s Artist Residency in Budapest and was selected to exhibit work in the International Festival of Artistic Photography held in Athens, Greece.  Since 2005, her work has been in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including her first solo exhibitions held in 2007 at

NY Studio Gallery and Manhattan Theatre Source in NYC.

Ms. Russell sits on the Board of Directors for Hungarian Multicultural Center, volunteers for Cuchifritos, a community not-for-profit gallery project of Artists Alliance, Inc. on LES, and engages in other community-building-through-the-arts projects.

Ms. Russell shares her oeuvre at http://heidi-russell.parosweb.com and can be reached at heidi.russell@earthlink.net.
